improvement.

when we purchased our house in april, we knew right away it was a fixer-upper. however, we had no idea the amount of work and time it would require. now, almost 3 1/2 months, i am thrilled to say that we have finished all of the painting and floors in our kitchen, den, hallway and 3 bedrooms! Paul worked his butt off and it looks fabulous! the master bedroom was our latest project...i was very skeptical of the paint color we chose, especially when i received this hideous picture one night while i was at work...

my sweet bella girl knew that i wouldn't approve so she tried her best to wipe the paint off with her nose...

however...a couple of days later, with the floors going down, i think the deep red is gorgeous and a wonderful choice.

and now, we finally have a home all our own in savannah.

risks.

The past 6 months have provided me with many changes. Picking up and moving away from all I know and love to move to Savannah was one of the hardest, most exciting things I have ever done. Now I'm getting reading to embark on a new change, a change of scenery in the hospital. No more dealing with "Emergencies" such as runny noses, spider-bites, coughs and discharges (yes, those kind). Granted, the gun shots of the innocent "I was just sittin' on the front porch minding my own business" victims provide excitement and I am going to miss the rush (not to mention my amazing group of night-shift family members). But, it's time to fulfill my dream...time to deliver some babies! I'm switching to Labor and Delivery as of Tuesday. It's definitely going to be different. I believe the over-under in the ER for my return is 2 months. It's nice to know that I'll be welcomed with open arms, however I am optimistic that I am about to find my true-love in nursing.
